Anyhow, back to today. I walked along the lake shore for 7 hours to get here. It started in the rain and it remained quite gloomy even after it stopped. Above me on the hillside were terraced vineyards that surprised me a little as I didn't know the Swiss went in for wine-making. I also passed a building designed by the famous architectarchitect, Le Corbusier. It didn't look quite as grand as the one I've seen in Zurich, but I only managed to see ...

We just finished the tour du Mont Blanc - 180km, 3 countries, 9 days! Also some sore feet by the end...
actually it was probably some of the nicest hiking we have ever done - stayed in some lovely hotels and mountain refuges, ate amazing food each day, good wine each night!
Think Andy was a bit de estates to be in Chamonix in summer rather than winter, but ...
