Ever since I read 'The Devil's Brood' By Sharon Kay Penman I had been wanting to visit this area of France. Between Le Mans, Samur and Chinon, played out the trubulent lives of Eleanor, her Husband Henry II and her sons Richard Coeur d' Leon & John. On to the Loire

The roads of Angers were bustling with peak hour traffic and because of the hail they were wet and reflecting all the car lights, I was starting to fear the worst. One of the best days of the week.
We started off by exploring the chateau. It was COLD! But so beautiful. We meandered along the Loire through several towns, stopping to get bread and snacks.
And by early afternoon, we arrived at Les Rairies to meet our friends and park up for two nights.
A proper shower and loo! Does this become an obsession with all motorhomers?

... but had lovely breakfast with Isabella (Bruno had gone to work in restaurant). my knee is really hurting and have to go slow, but not to worry as today is much shorter.
