... 8211; this tour went beyond Ajaccio and the beaches to the interior.

Our guide’s name as Claudia and she was very knowledgeable about the island, its history, geology and biology. Corsica is part of France. Geologically, the island broke off from France about 350 million years ago and is still moving toward Italy at a rate of 1 cm per year. It is 183 km long and has 1000 km of coastline, 300 of that beaches. Because it is an island there are a large number ...

Thank you Corsica for the lovely weekend.

Then we drove along the scenic route to L'Ile Rousse and continuously had to lift our jaws from off the ground. The views were spectacular.

We had no real destination in mind for L'Ile, only that it was supposed to ...

Netherlands to France -- via Italy, naturally.

... a lack of light and windy roads, I suspect some beautiful scenery awaits us in the morning.

Now Nico is having dreams about barcos and autos. Rudi is opening some Tuscan wine they brought along and Gaby is trying to find us some English TV. So far we've settled on the French Dancing with the Stars. And I spotted a familiar SYTYCD face, Jean Marc Genereux is a judge!

Va bene. Ça C'est Ça. Life is what you make it.

... again, to fabulous views from the top. The second part of our day was spent circumnavigating the mountains at the back of our village as we can see numerous small villages hanging from the side of the mountain from where we are staying. The drive took about an hour or so and was a little disappointing in that we couldn't really see any of the villages as the road goes through the villages and the mountains are very steep, ...
