    ... it DEFINITELY did smell - awful!!! The ferry from Livorno where we berthed yesterday only takes an hour to cross. Walked around the town of Ajaccio, Karen and I bought shoes, found Kev some light weight shirts which he desperately needed. Had a local ice cream then took the tender back to the ship.     The city not only encloses the entire harbour but takes up the better part of the Gulf of Ajaccio, which is the largest gulf in the world.
    Over 65000 population over the entire area. This city is the birthplace of Napoleon in 1769 who became the French Emperor in 1804 and spread Revolution through Europe and in 1811 made Ajaccio the capital in Corsica.

    ... a slight disappointment because of how late everything seemed to open but Corsica was bustling and vibrant right from the moment we set foot on shore to the moment we returned to the ship.

    ... ve been to London a few times before, we hadn't been there before. What an incredible place, it went for miles, along side streets, in alleys, old stables, up stairs, downstairs, passages etc. there were lots of stalls selling clothes, t shirts, Persian rugs, jewellery, paintings, as well as every conceivable cuisine.     ... open sea! Consuming all our water as well as purchasing more drinks, we decided to retreat to the air conditioned comfort of our home away from home and have a late lunch.
