At Toulouse we stayed in a hotel called Privilege. It is a pretty small room for four people so it's a bit messy. At the castle of carcassone in carcassone we bought a bag of lollies with: marshmallows, sour straps,gummy frogs and bears,chewing gum and red liquorice! TASTY.
We still haven't eaten all of the lollies though.

... and awnings in Aires, but all the French had - so we did too. It was so hot we needed the awning for shade. We went for a stroll by the river in the cool, but it was much too hot to walk up to the village and castle on top of the hill.
It just seemed to get hotter and hotter and after dinner we had a cracking thunder storm and torrential downpour.

... whatever there is for us to see here that's within walking distance. It turns out, a lot. And it's another beautiful warm day.

Steve, Tim, Jill, Peter, Sue and I started out at the Monument aux Morts and walked south through the trees along Allees Verdier, the Grand Rond at Boulingrin, and Allee Frederic Mistral to the Jardin des Plantes which is a lot like the arboretum at Dow's Lake in Ottawa: Lots of different specimens of trees.
