... where cars park on both sides of the road. Then Cesseras has a narrow little hill which is made narrower by parked cars and then 8 km climbing uphill round hairpin bends. The road is just slightly wider than a single track! But we arrived to be greeted effusively by Jeanne, who gossiped rapidly in French, some of which I understood. Our time in Madiran was relaxed. We did trips to the local towns - although these were always closed because we would go between 11am and 3pm - walked parts of a pilgrim trail and relaxed at the house with bottles of wine in the sunshine. Bryan and Kate arrived back a few days later and we packed up our car in accordance with the PPP system and headed to Carcassonne where the adventure continues....

Had a great nights sleep and away relatively early to catch the 9.06am train to Narbonne. Once again easy getting to the train and stopped for croissants and other breakfast pastries to eat on the way. This was the train where I had been worried as when booking the tickets had added Ella to our family so she was Ella Brown for the day which caused a lot of hilarity!
