... our carriage is at the far end of the platform (of course) and, as we think the train is about to depart, we hustle through the crowd on the platform as quickly as large wheeled suitcases will allow. We're on board, having confirmed that we are in fact on the correct train, settle into our seats and relax. Last day on the canal boat. We decide to stay in the port for a while and leave either just before or just after lunch. We have a bit of a sleep in and then get up and explore the area. It is a little strange. There is a very large truck stop nearby with a 24 hour service station, a hotel and the restaurant, cafe, shop building. It's all down hill from here! Now that we're moored up, we have a bit of an explore. The museum built on what we have been learning over the past few days and provided an excellent opportunity for Kate and Roy to actually read first hand accounts of the actions of the Resistance fighters such as smuggling allied soldiers over the Pyrenees Mountains into Spain, and has left us all wanting to learn more.
