First I have to say that I travelled first class from
Barcelona to Toulouse. It was pretty cool, nice big leather chairs, radio and
then later they played a movie. Gemma, Hector and I got there fairly late,
between 9:30 and 10:00. Dana and her friend Theresa (who is also doing this
program) met us at the train station and we found a bite to eat. We “got to”
watch T.V. that night for a bit and get a taste of what French television is
like. We ...

... with the 'good people' lining up for heaven, but the 'bad' are shown in seven paintings of the deadly sins (greed, gluttony, sloth, envy etc) and it is enough to make you ill. I got to my hotel and it's clean and comfortable, with a lovely firm bed, but I still ...

After asking a couple of people we found the house and once we explained who we were the elderly couple welcomed us like long lost friends! Only the gentleman spoke English, but the lovely woman kept telling us things, which her husband then interpreted. They then fussed over us, bringing out the dishes for our lunch, which included fois gras, then a lentil casserole, then cheeses, followed by ...

***under construction***

Woke up a bit groggy from the fitful sleep. My legs, especially my right knee, ached from lack of circulation, and my feet were swollen. I was really appreciating premium economy seats right then and wishing I was in that section.

The good news was that we had about two hours to our arrival in Amsterdam, and the last eight hours seemed to go by pretty quickly. We had breakfast, which was a weird omelette (I ate ...
