... br> Today the village market offered local cheeses and olives, soaps and fish (alive), so the population swelled for just the morning. Lagrasse is but one of many beautiful old villages in the Languedoc region, and each moves to its own rythym, steady and slow. It's bursting with eccentric characters, farmers, artists and drifters, wonderful to observe, so leaving ...

... be next to a nature reserve. I thought this would give me a chance to see what this part of the South of France was like and then I could move inland if I didn't like it. Just before I reached the site the single track road I was following arrived at what looked like a huge water pipe running under the main coastal road. ... same is going to happen tomorrow morning! In fairness, the email also stated that the owners also had jobs, which did explain their absence. They aren't cannibals. We came to this small village in Catalunya for one reason only, the Dali museum at Figueres. I'm not really a fan of Surrealism, Renaissance is more my cup of tea, but the wife loves Dali's work. Town in the Pyrenees. A spa town. Very nice town but Aire run down but good location. Why? Well I wanted to ride a Col on the Pyrenees, Clive wants to stay local so we head for what looks like a good spot ready for a nice long ride tomorrow and I will tag on another Col at the end. Right! Well best laid plans and all that. The town is very nice but the Aire is not. In fact The local Maire has posted up, all sorts of notices demanding that we stay in our Camping-Car. ...

Duilhac Village Aire. Right underneath The beautiful Chateau Peyrepertuse. Languedoc Region. Best Aire so far in every way. Having enjoyed a very peaceful night with a temp drop down to 13.C we move on as I still don't feel up to any biking today. It's a day to chill and relax. Clive has an amazing knack of finding great places. We have arrived at this one. An Aire right below the Chateau, delightful scenery all around us. Tomorrow we take the tough walk up on the GR 361 to the ...
