... good dinner then called it a night. I have so enjoyed their hospitality and their culture, I am sad to move on. I am now on the train heading to Valladolid, north of Madrid where I have some friends I met when I was in Ireland. I will probably stay the night with them and then head to Portugal tomorrow or Tuesday. ... us awake until the early hours.
We were therefore appreciative of our next campsite at Orne in Longny au Perche as it was situated in a Nature Park and was quiet and peaceful. The tranquil waters and friendly geese, goats and donkey made us welcome. We enjoyed a little tour round glimpsing hidden chateaux and manoirs and discovered many pretty little unspoilt villages.
Next stop Calais and home sweet home!
