Another new experience
... of flooding was such that we were not happy to try and drive through the heavy floods to get to the camp. So we knew that there was a site at Equihen-plage. We followed signs and they took us to an aire - just a stopping place with gravel and a water dump and fresh water.
We settled down and let the storm blow over.

The first time on a campsite since I was a teenage

This was just as spectacular as the water went far higher, like bombs were being blasted in to the sea like it was World War 2 all over again. Except that we were safe, but almost blown off the side of the cliff.
