... laid out and all... Then there is old part of Cannes... Tall old buildings set in tiny narrow streets and steep inclines. I also loved the movie murals everywhere on the sides of buildings. This really is a silver screen town. The film "French Kiss" had some scenes set in Cannes.... And as ai walked around the streets. I was really bummed to leave Cannes the next day, but I think we saw everything we could see. It isn't really a very touristy town, except for when the film festival is in full swing, which isn't until May. We started this day at a leisurely pace, leaving plenty of time to go to the market as advised by our dinner friends last night. In navigating back through the maze of cobblestone streets, we found the market which did not disappoint. We found wine and fresh baked breads. There were varieties of marinated olives and garlic, fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, a selection of freshly carved, cured meats, as well as varieties ...
