just got back from tunisia, its a really nice country in places. the hotel was really clean. the people were friendly the only thing that i found really anoying was when you tried to walk past shops you were hassled or pulled in and they would,nt let you out until you buy something. if you go out shopping you should go round fixed priced shops first and that will give you an idea on how much something is worth and then you can try the shops or stalls where you can bargain with them try not to get ripped off they will say anything to flatter you and they know what you are saying as most of them speak 5 languages. my advice is to go on some of the trips, we went on 3 different ones and i wish i had more time as i was only there for 1 week and i would of liked to of went on the sahara trip as i was told it was amazing we went to el djem and it was really amazing also we went on a boat trip and it was really good as it was like a big pirate ship and they entertained you the whole time you were there, they swung from the ropes and played dance music and danced with you we really enjoyed it. the last trip was to a safari park and then dinner afterwards. they entertained you while you had dinner with africian tribe dancers and belly dancers that was my favourite trip. the drink out there wasnt to my taste and i was told to bring my own but my husband thought the beer was alright and he stuck to that as for the food well most of it i wasnt keen on my advice is stick to steak and for breakfast eat ommelet and their idea of an english breakfast i wasnt keen on as for night life try to stick to your own hotel unless you go out in a crowd the beach wasnt far just a short walk away and they look after you there as there is a bar and a place to get something to eat the beach was beautiful and kept clean enough also you should go to your holiday reps as i found them very helpful

Have just spent a 10 day holiday in the les-citronniers hotel (19-29 august 2005) it is avery clean and friendly hotel ,sheets changed every day and rooms cleaned. It dosn't deserve its 2* rating but at leat 3*. I would recomend anyone looking for a cheap, clean, friendly hotel to give it a try.
thanks to the staff at LES-CITRONNIERS for a lovely holiday.

Very good hotel to stay in, went on a 3 day safari and stayed in 2 4 star hotels which were much worse than this hotel!
Very friendly staff, nice rooms, bath and shower, fans on request and safety boxes. Nice pool tho a bit small, pool table, tv (sky) in lobby. Every thing you need for a nice holiday, situated in a good area, with beach next door, and easy access to taxis and noddy trains.
Wonderful hotel!!!!!! Would go back.............

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks with my family.. I found the hotel to be very clean, the staff friendly and the food good as we stayed half board.
There is entertainment every night starting with bingo if thats your thing!
One thing that did drive me mad was around the pool area they played the same cd's day and night.. and if you happen to get the hotel rooms opposite the pool area the music and entertainment doesnt end till midnight so if you have young children it may be a problem, thankfully i didnt have my room there.. however i could still hear it all going on!
To get to the beach it is only a short walk and what a beautiful beach it is.
The hotel has its own beach snack bar and water sports are available, i went on the jet ski and the parachute which i recommend!
There are local shops scattered around the hotel which the shop keepers dont hassle you too much, however i would always recommend that you never go out shopping alone being male or female as you can easily get intimidated and badgered into a purchase!
It just leaves me to say i had a great holiday afterall it is what you make it!
Gem of a hotel!!

Just arrived home from a week long stay in les citronniers hotel and we had a great time! The hotel is quite basic but the cleaniness and the friendlyness more than make up for it. The reception room is fair enough with long couchs in the TV/bar area. The bar serves the cheapest Celtia beer in the resort 2DR for a bottel which is €1.30. The bedrooms are very basic two beds and the wardrobe could do with a paint.. the bathroom had interesting kinda 1970`s tiles but very clean. Our balcony overlooked the pool which has a side bar as well. We were B&B so had breakfast in the every morning in the residents resturant which was pain ou chocolate, crossiant, bread rolls, jam, cheese, juice, tea/coffee...The main resturant in the hotel is brillant with a wide selection of food and very reasonable. If you were full board then you`d have your evening meal in the residents resturant which had a set menu. The beach is a short walk away from the hotel where the hotel have their own area with free deck chairs and parasol and a great snack bar where you could have lunch and drinks...water sports is also right next to this area jetskiing, water skiing, banana boat and sea biscuits..great fun and a very safe beach. The hotel is located in a area where there are many resturants to choose from and shops selling all the usual..there is also a food shop near by so you could stock up on your junk food for your day outings!!The hotel also provided evening entertainment which was a good laugh. I really enjoyed my time in tunisa and would have no problem recommending this hotel.....

I just got back from Les Citronniers and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a basic but very well run hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were spotless. The bar in the hotel is one of cheapest in the resort with a bottle of beer costing under €1.50, Its very comfortable with 2 TVs,one of which shows Sky. The food in the restaurant is very good and offers a wide selection of meals at very reasonable prices. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value for money and is well worth a visit.
Don't stay here....

Stayed in this hotel over New Years and we were less than impressed. We knew the rooms were basic but they very unpleasant, the toilets stank and had a window that opened out to the corridor. You can guess, that there was an interesting aroma upon walking to your room....
