... and his stunning girlfriend had lunch with us at an Irish pub which surprised us with the good food. It was a jolly time on a beautiful sunny day out in the street.

Onwards we pushed to the Alps with the scenery getting increasingly spectacular. Soaring massive mountains parted for us as we cruised up the valley alongside a rushing river. The object of desire was the climb of the Alpe d'Huez of Tour de France claim. We luckily missed out on the angry black ...

Asperes. Still in Rhone Valley/Provence. Aire is really nice, quite and spacious. Brilliant Services. Right next to tourist office. Good English. Run down town suffering from Serres, the next town along being a real tourist hot spot! But we liked it. As we go north the Aires thin out so we follow where the few are. It's funny and ironic. We choose a place to stay and then see several more un reported Aires along the way. This one ...

It was a building site. The commune were putting up a building and had fenced off part of the aire for access ...

We encountered quite a few tunnels that we had to drive through with some being over 5kms long. At least this saved us having to wind our way through the mountains. Once again there were snow capped mountains on either side of us.

We entered into France and came across a little ski town in the French Alps that was covered in snow. Sophie ...

... 8216;our paradise’!

Not a day has gone by when we have not said ‘wow’ or ‘this is amazing, stunning’ etc, we feel like the luckiest people alive to have had the opportunity to experience a place as magical as this. We have spent most of our days either hiking or cycling in the mountains. One of our rides took us to the Col d’Ornon which was one of the most beautiful rides we have ever done (yeah I know I say that a ...
