... resistance people and Jews in Lyons, the French Resistance Centre, that were tortured and killed. Returned to the Place du Terreaux and made our way over the river back to the Lyon Vieu old town where we had a couple of beers at a pub and then a really delicious Lyons local fare at a delightful restaurant. This is an amazing city.

We arrived in Lyon late in the evening after such a beautiful drive that day through the Provence region of France. We were both tired and looking for a cheap and easy dinner. The hotelier put us onto a great little pizza restaurant just around the corner. Each day they source the produce from the local farmers markets to top the scrumptious pizzas, the waiter had recently just had a year in Australia working so had lots of stories to tell ...

... Emma dragged me away. We were now going to Paris. We quickly stopped off home to toilet and grab out bags then we hit the road. I read for a while, the Emma and I watched the last three episodes of Packed to the Rafters. I cried. Gets me every time.
