... on an afternoon cruise up the Sa˘ne River which nearly put us all to sleep. The majority of the commentary was in French and the English bit was spoken with such a heavy French accent that we couldn't hardly understand it anyway!

Finished the day off heading back into town for a nice pizza and pasta meal at an Italian themed restaurant.

Day 4
Another sunny day in Lyon, but it is windy and a bit cooler, we had an early start to do some laundry ...

... beignets (fried dough) with zucchini in the middle. Soooo yummy! For dessert I had strawberries, raspberries, apples and peaches. “Premier!” Dora kept repeating which means “the first of the season”.

3. Dora’s sister, Therese, made roasted red peppers one day for lunch. When placed on top of fresh, French baguettes it was absolutely to die for!

... I don’t like when my routine is interrupted with a comment about how I do it. I can easily take orders but I guess I am not a big fan of being corrected. Maybe because I aim to please and I hate when I disappoint? Who knows.
