      ... so we did not look like something out of the wilds. Then some friendly locals put us into a tricycle (a motorcycle with a side car), and sent us in the direction of an area full of jeepneys. The tricycle driver quickly found us a jeepney to take us to a town where it’s easier to get a bus back to Manila, and where we could find something to eat.

      ... Club of Metro Lipa for a meal and to speak Imagine my surprise when I walked into to the room to find a banner welcoming me with my photo on it!

      A small club with about 25 members all under the age of 55. Clearly some big hitters in Lipa City too. They had also invited members of other clubs to swell the ranks and in all there were about 30 of us. Hugo will recall PDG Onye Reyes - he is a member of this club!

      ... them to lift with a heavy car tyre on each end of a large stick of bamboo held together with some rope. They also found a field to run in, and had made their very own badminton court in the garden. I left them to it and spent my time lazing about inside.

      It was cool to be back in the family life again, and we even had a dog this time too who had some puppies while we were there. Unfortunately left before they became fun.
