... Ville which had beautiful gardens. Then it started raining and there was lots of thunder - we had to put our raincoats on. Next we visited Mercier winery and did a tour in mini train through caves underground. There were lots of caves and many bottles of champagne. We also saw a huge barrel which could hold 200,000 bottles of champagne. It was taken to the World Exposition in Paris in 1900 and it took 24 ...

... curved brick going for miles (kilometers doesn't have the same ring), with crates of champagne in various stages of fermentation stored inside. Learnt about production techniques from the 1700's through to the present automation. Inspite of that, still saw a couple of blokes lifting the boxes of champagne onto pallets prior to distribution.

Another bottle of champagne for dinner.
