    ... We had very, very tasty snails in the first course, then Paul had rabbit and I had lamb in the second course (also very tasty). Paul had a cheese plate, with a selection of sheep, goat, and cow cheeses. I had a dessert: bananas and chocolate in a filo dough purse. I thought it was good (not great), but Paul didn't like the plantain-style banana. We also had a bottle of excellent Beaujolais. Lovely meal, about three hours of good food and good company.     ... but there is also lots of stunning produce and the food culture is very big. Our house is a beautiful 2brm apartment above a shop with a cute rooftop terrace (although with the temp ranging from about 3 - 11 degrees we haven't spent much time out there.
