After breakfast, we met our guide for the day, Attilio. He was a hon not a hun and took awesome care of us throughout the day. We tooled up to Chamonix-Mont Blanc in air conditioned comfort, which was a welcome relief on a day of high heat and humidity. Mer de Glace trip and visit to the ice-cave was also spectacular – even with the 470 steps to get back up to the ski lift! Got very breathless on the way, but was able to cover nicely by frequent stops to ‘admire the view’ (many other people doing this too)!
