... of beers and wines and take in the magnificent views. Dinner is at 7.30 so back to the room to get ready. Dinner is served outside on the verandah overlooking the Swiss Alps. It is a set 3 course menu which costs 56 franks each. We start with a salad with ricotta cheese. After a frustrating start to today's long drive (they blocked off the main road for a fun run and made us use one way streets that take you in circles, getting nowhere) we were on our way to Chamonix in the mountains after adding an extra 40 minutes to our expected 6 and a half hour drive. We didn't have much time to soak in the village life as we were straight off to catch the cable car up to Mont Blanc. At 50 Euros per person and with each cable car holding 70 people, they were definitely making some good money in the summertime.
