... we had the same from the Italian Polizia and then not 10 metres down the road (within view of the Polizia) Immigration asked the same questions! They weren't that interested when we flew into Milano or Rome! They even checked all the stamps in our passports to see where we had been. That aside (and the €60 odd in tolls to get there) the scenery was amazing. I just love those mountains. We drove literally right through some with the ...

Day 7

... of the trip. For me, the highlight was getting to know all the people on the trip with us. Going through an experience like this brings people together quickly and I really enjoyed that. Leaving Chamonix tomorrow and I must say I am not sad. It is very pretty but I am probably not seeing it in its best light due to the weather. I am hopeless in the cold and wet. Give me sun every time. It’s a shame, as I know Lyn absolutely loves it ...

... last day skiing and snowboarding (for me). We got up on the mountain by 9am and spent until 2pm running the slopes. I definitely could notice the improvement I made this second day as everything started feeling more natural. It's a shame I can't snowboard every day. There were 5-year-olds showing me up on those slopes - not to mention what seemed to be a kids ski club or some kind of French junior national ski team that flew by in perfect formation. This second day, ...
