... browsing museum so we won't hit the ballpark traffic. Omni, the hotel we're staying, is adjacent to Petco Park. There's a sky footbridge connecting the hotel to the park.
Natural History Museum has a traveling exhibit from Chicago Field Museum - Mammoth & Mastodon. Wonderful exhibit, now we could tell apart these two ice age wooly creatures by looking at their molar/teeth. It was nice Curtis was able to accompany us for the exhibit. ...

On one such outing in the winter, we took off our shoes and walked up and down the beach collecting shells. I was amazed at what we found! We loaded up our pockets and enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the house.

... to just the three of us again, we drove to La Jolla, CA to sightsee and do a bit of tide pooling. We also visited Torrey Pines where we watched gliders sail the cliffs. The movie "The Lone Ranger", was our next stop and then back to camp for pizza and a dance show & fireworks at the campground.
It was a fabulous reunion and tribute to Dex's father. Now it's time to load up and head north.
