Paul's training has kicked in. The Ironman in Copenhagen is on 23rd August. Paul went up the valley this morning (on another beautiful day). We zipped to the weekend market and then headed off to Geneva to get a new rental car. We haven't found a car to buy yet, so need to take back our rental and exchange for a smaller version. Unfortunately the first rental car got dinged in the side (car park ding, we think). This ...

We finished another long day, from Champex, Switzerland. This is the northern most point on the TMB trail. About 3 hours into our hike, in the middle of a cow pasture high above the valley we encountered the Alp Bovine cafe! It was almost at the high point of our hike today. We had a sandwich and. For example my shampoo I brought was 8.30 or 6.30 something like that. You say that's not too by considering we are in one of the most expensive cities until you realize the bottles are smaller than in Canada. Or Phil said his razors are like 30 for a pack of 6.

So face cream, razors, and shampoo it is.

So we waited at a café at the station for a couple of hours while Sean (our fantastic group leader) tried to get us on the next train. The waitress at the café was a character and was more than happy to help me practise my French! Meanwhile Sean found a connection that worked, for 7000 francs (over $9000), but by the time they were ready to print the tickets, there was no longer 17 seats available on the ...
