Later in the evening Jonathan dashed over the bridge to the patisserie for a baguette to go with the remainder of our chicken and salad for dinner, and a slice if flan for afters. It has rained steadily all evening.

It had to be done, didn't it. Although John had nearly been out off by hearing about the hoardes of tourists. Of course all the aires nearby charge through the nose, we managed to find a lovely one, Aire de Beauvoir, 4 km away from the mount but linked by a cycle path. So we walked in.
