... day we drove up to the bottom of Snowdonia ((Machynlleth) and settled into a pub for the evening and watched the next semi-final game. The next day (Monday) we went to the Corris Slate Mine and the King Arthur's Labyrinth, then onto Chester for the evening. We stayed with Andrew Howe and were treated like Royalty. CORDON to CHAMONIX to MARTIGNY to BRIG, take E62 to DOMODOSSOLA and STRESA Hotel La Locanda Via Giacomo Leopardi, 19, 28838 Stresa VB Woke up to nicer sky, sun shining, but I will wear over trousers just in case. Saint Maurice de Rotherens is a tiny old town in the foothills with the most stunning mountain backdrop. The European mist (smog?) hides the best of the view, but it's still wonderful. so where are the signs to the walking ...
