... first time in my life, saw a falling star. Ibrahim caught a fish. Hader was not as successul. I gave Hader my head flashlight as a gift and he was very happy. I was generous with him the following days as well. However, as he begun asking me for more and more gifts I became less interested in his company so I stopped meeting with him. Ibrahim, who is one of the gentlest most traquil ...
Sidi Ifni, Morocco yorron... We are low enough to use the floor as our table. He shows me wood carvings he made using driftwood. They are beautiful. The walls are tastefully decorated with magazine photos and video slip covers of "Mad Max" and other movies I do not recognize. There are other things on the wall, such as a tiny rubber sandal that he found on the beach, deformed by the elements. He is certainly an artist and finds beauty in everything. After tea he takes a bread out, fills a little ...
Sidi Ifni, Morocco yorron... onto miles of unexploited beaches. Around the Spanish town extends the Moroccan-built town, with its arbitrary city design charm, delicately combining ornate Moroccan architecture alongside decaying Spanish buildings. There are several hotels here, and the one I am staying at is especially charming. Everyone is so very friendly and warm and the rooms open onto a lovely communal terrace which is perfect for relaxing, reading, meditating, and practicing yoga. Today I taught a mini yoga ...
Sidi Ifni, Morocco yorron... not being able to afford my own seat, or feeling cheated. This time, intending on being peaceful, generous and humble, I delighted in the intimacy of sharing a space with another being. Once again I find that everything is a matter of perspective, and I'm happy I keep choosing to see my reality from a brighter point of view. "If you are facing the sun, you don't see the shaddows", right?
Passou 7 anos a tentar chegar à Terra Prometida.
Tiznit, Morocco ikonoGot an awesome villa for cheap cheap and had a nice time relaxing in the sand. The food sucked in this town however. During this time we took some side trips to neighboring beaches and cities such as Sidi Ifni. Real tight. Spring break 08! WOO! We made it!

Mirleft, Morocco kirst_973Hi! Since the tour has finished we've been relaxing as much as possible and gradually moving down the Atlantic coast. Our first hotel in Marrakech was the noisiest place I have ever tried to sleep! It was awful! We stayed near the main square Djeema-el-Fna (The Parade of the Dead!) Which sold really cheap food outside, infact the dining stalls were the only place to watch the snake charmers etc without getting hassled! After Marrakech, we caught a bus to Essaouira on ...
