      So back to my first time skiing...ever.

      I did 4 runs today before my body told me I needed to stop. My first run down the bunny slopes was kinda awful (as expected for a newcomer). I couldn't stop, or turn so basically I did what I could to slow down and ended up wiping out hard many times.Thankfully I had Katy with me who is from Colorado who talked me through it and got my confidence back up.       ... a pleasant hour or so doing some familiar and some new to me runs. Finally deciding to head down to the village I elected to take a previously unknown run right down to avoid the chairlift with its scanner. I did about the first 20% of this run then came on a sign indicating that the remainder of the run was closed.

      ... ski resorts Val D' Isere is a collection of shops selling ski clothing, restaurants and bars and expensive experiences. The lifts are extensive and the free shuttle buses come every few minutes helping you get to the slopes as quickly as possible.
