    ... of typing, have a look at Google on this. It is an amazing huge aqua-duct maybe 50m above and 270m ACROSS the river and was built by the Romans in about 50 AD, so almost 2000 years ago. ......2000 years ago! The idea was it would carry water from the natural springs, across the country to feed the important city of Nimes or Avignon, I forget which, ( this wifi is so infuriatingly slow, I want to smash it....) anyway....look it up yourself..... But, even 2000 years later ...

    ... is the main town of the Luberon mountains. Today was mostly about scenery and it really was spectacular at times. Very much like you see on the TV when watching the Tour, winding up and down mountains with sweeping views. We went through Cavaillon and then stopped at Apt for lunch. Had a bit of difficulty finding where the main area of town was, but we got there ...

    ... the mental hospital that he spent time in and then we went to the area of France where he got his inspiration for most of his paintings. He loved yellow hence the sunflowers, Poppy's, olives and lavender paintings.
