      ... Today the winds were 45 MPH. They bring cold, clear air. The winds happen most often in winter and Spring and play an important role in this area regarding architecture and culture. The houses are built with sloped roofs and only tiny windows on the north side.

      When we arrived, there was already quite a crowd and an orderly line had formed.       ... on Thursday or Friday, Wish me luck - Baz doesn't need it for the 25km climb to the summit with the last 6 km or so being above the tree line with absolutely nothing growing and therefore it will either be hot and exposed or if a change comes through, freezing and exposed, We will be taking some warm clothes with us as we are told its usually cold descending.

      ... that the girls won. I also learned that Lucy is phenomenal at step-ups. They hated the shuttle run as much as I did but they hated Kara’s station more. Kara did a throwback to her personal training days and did a station that included sit-ups, burpies, and push-ups. It was cruel but she showed them who was boss.
