    What a day ! We drove 90mins to Lac Aiguebelette and had a wonderful day. By chance we were able to wander into the athletes area and cruised around all their tents. Just like a Sunday picnic, except, stationery bikes, kids paddling pools and rowing boats everywhere. We tracked down the Kiwi's and quickly took a photo and moved on. We watched the activity on the athlete's screen, went and saw the boats being weighed and really felt part of the action. ...

    No luggage but rain on the first two runs over.

    ... to do - climbing to do! But first we had to get to the Cosmiques Refuge, which we had to get to from a snow tunnel, then a super narrow and steep snow ridge. I was a bit worried about this down-climb given how heavy my pack weighed but it ended up being just fine - but still exhilarating!
