Moldova to Odessa and the Seaside
... seem to incorporate aspects of 19th century architecture with a modern twist. The buildings can't be higher than 24 stories. Under the city, there are about 3000 km worth of what they call catacombs (not the Roman kind). These are tunnels where the limestone used for the buildings here came from. Sort of like a quarry. The first fortnight in the Ambulance
... was closed to us. All I can really say about Transitinia after our brief foray, is that the roads are terrible. So if you ever think about setting up a separatist state of your own, don't forget about road infurstructure issues.

Sometimes it's good to have low expectations.
The day started slowly. The hostel was nice and quiet and no one seemed to be in a hurry to get going. I left around 11am and wandered slowly along the boulevarde in the direction of the station. Odessa - Boats and Ballet

We have three meals per day prepared for us by chefs - the food is all very high quality and very fresh. Our beds are made up into a sort of couch for us every morning while we're at breakfast, and then while we're at dinner they are turned down in preparation for sleep.
