What a glorious morning we awoke to in Schwulper. Blue sky, and brilliant sunshine - apparently an extraordinary November day! I do believe that we have been blessed all along the way on this amazing trip. After a lazy morning having brunch with Werner and Lydia and packing again, we set off for Tostedt via rail from Braunschweig to Hanover to Hamburg. Expected arrival is @ 4:42 - and the trains DO run on time. We have ...

... climb the church tower (280 steps) which gave great views over the town and surrounding land. (In Amsterdam you pay €7.50 to climb the Westerkerk church tower!)

All in all a pleasant, picturesque town, with affordable cafes and parking and friendly people, though most visitors were a bit old. Made me feel so young!
