    What an exciting night! Rain had been forecast but the wind whipped up the waters first. Finally some action. I like hearing the river sloshing onto the sides of the boat as well as a slight rocking. We had a lot of the former but non of the latter. To make matters worse Jane got scared.     ... hot chocolate (and Amy a slice of cake). As we passed some toilets we did our deeds as the boats facilities are not the easiest.

    Our next mooring experience was at Ludham Bridge. Equal disaster, coming in to quickly, banging into the moorings etc. Jane got very flustered, I got very angry but eventually hauled the boat in again via the ropes. I will have big biceps by the end of this - if the boat survives.

    We got up the normal time and had breakfast. I packed and Jane did all the important things like ironing and washing up the last few plates.

    We left well on time and had a good run to our first stop which was Mundford. There was a war memorial naming the uncle of grandma, William Houchen. Grandma's ancestors used to live here and we went to St Leonard's church where we found the graves of the Shinn's as well as that ...
