... break, although we had our first encounter with the persistent wasps which seem to roam Slovenia. Lucy was surprised that she has been seeing wasps a lot as she thought they only lived in England. Suppose they could be following her. We eventually made it to the top and then back down to the other side where Vintgar gorge lies. Walked for about an hour through it- so pretty although sometimes it was a battle through the masses of tourists on the small wooden bridges. Had ...

... look like a right pair of skinhead Nazis. Hold on, we're not in Croatia yet...

...but we are definitely in slozny blob eastern European territory. Just by going through a tunnel we have entered a land totally incomprehensible by language and highly differentiated by accent. I did a whole lot of research yesterday which counted for nothing today as we completely changed our plans. I was going to take Kerry to some ice caves and the pretty town of Helstatt but it meant a bit of back tracking and we decided to push on towards Croatia. ... were those of Tabbi and Lucy. Tabbi's mental but very facial preparations before she threw herself into the rock pools were hilarious and Lucy was just generally funny. Her upper body muscles slightly failed her on one of the obstacles- a hang and then a drop. She missed the hang and moved straight to the drop. She survived which meant we could all laugh. The scariest thing on the course was one of the slides, which as we were sliding round a corner we ...

... the lake, it was very chill. We have to get up early tomorrow, however Katie's a bit worried about sleeping after walking into the shower room and seeing a man who was showering without the curtain closed. Good luck to her for sleeping tonight. So glad we came to Lake Bled, it's so pretty and lots to do. Our hostel owner has covered a map in exclamations marks and circles with things we should do whilst we're here. Think she forgot we're here only 2.5 ...
