... wasn't much chance of that. There were also lots of jellyfish in the sand since it was about low tide. So we walked around a bit, took a few pictures and headed back to the hotel to check out.
First stop on the agenda was to backtrack a couple of miles to check out the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. We really didn't want the interior tour, since my fear of heights doesn't lend itself well to climbing lighthouses. We just wanted to check out the ...

Some even came up to the window! There was an ostrich who was particularly curious about Oriah. Wow. Seven Feathers is everything it claims and more. After asking to be moved to a different site than our assigned one, we landed in a shaded spot with open space in front and a stream behind us. The RV park itself is excellent in terms of its clean, neat and lush appearance, good facilities and helpful friendly staff. But the best part for us about staying here for two nights was ...

        ... Park.

It was a long day of driving yesterday-- some 630 kms. and the most boring of all the travel we've done and I think I usually feel the same so often opt for an alternate to 99 or I5. We did get a little turned around going through Sacramento and ended up eastbound on the 80 somehow heading for Reno... maybe we should've continued but we didn't. Some would say it was the nagivator's fault ...
