    ... my way out and we got window seats along with two young men from an undisclosed Asian country, one with a silk face mask.

    Even in the rain, the 12 mile ride through the mountains and fjords is spectacular. At one particularly enormous, thundering waterfall the train stopped at a platform for picture taking. I took a video to forever remember the power as the water crashed downward but didn't keep it on long enough to capture the lady dressed in a red costume ...

    ... It's a remote town whose main draw (aside from being close to beautiful scenery) is being on one end of the Flåm Railway. As a result, giant cruise ships frequently dock there and when doing so, roughly double the town.     Rather than being a 'tourist cruise' this is actually a local ferry stopping and picking/dropping off passengers at all the local towns. While it does make the cruise last longer it lets you see a lot more of the local communities.
