I don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.

           

... Dispite the language barriers they had a lovely time exploring the basque country side. What did we do? Why go to the beach, of course!!

... My hotel, Des Pyrenees, was on the main street and as I made my entrance I was met by some incredulous gazes from those in reception and the many diners in its posh restaurant. I should explain that because of the long holiday weekend I had experienced real problems finding somewhere to stay and was left with little alternative other than to pay extortionate prices to check into this expensive hotel for three nights. She is my Basque Country grandma and we occasionally have a coffee and go for walks. She is great! (Don't worry, she does not replace you back in the states, but is a nice addition. ... It´s apparently theater week, so some nights have free plays performed.) Ours was...how shall I say this...very interpretive. ... an effort to take taxis out to downtown... I was feeling like going out, but not that far, so some of us checked with our tour guide Gary. Apparently the small city centre of Errenteria was only about a kilometer away, so a group of 8 of us decided to do that. THAT was an adventure...
