... each of them were. We chose a dinner plate full of various entrees between the two of us and he suggested 1 main course to share and we chose lamb shanks. The food was fresh and the quality was first class. To drink we chose (hang on) Ayran, a yoghurt based drink. (Non alcoholic) The next day we hired a car and drove ourselves around the National Park checking out the various sights. And for dinner you guessed it. We went back to Topdeck.

... gulped and relaxed onto our spots avoiding all eye contact with anyone., including the poor lady who had the pleasure of facing my slightly opened legs. We then proceeded to be lathered, rubbed and scrubbed in EVERY part of us by a large, hairy, somewhat odorous Turkish mama in a bikini. One half of me was mortified, the other half secretly loved every minute.

... amazing pics. Meanwhile, here we sit with no clothes, no toiletries (Vulcan stopped and bought us some toothbrushes!) but the hotel staff are as good as anyone, anywhere. So our strategy is to wait for bags to arrive at some stage but if they don't, we will wear the same clothes until the local cats and dogs start following us around. Stay tuned...........but first a quick word from Digby.

... was the next valley. The sculptures resemble male anatomy, or a mushroom. Then the Monks Valley, where we saw buildings with several floors. You can even see the original markings on the stones where people had been trying to carve out a tunnel. Fascinating. Last valley is called Imagination Valley, because the rock formations are shaped like animals and you use your imagination to see them. There was a camel formation with a fence around ...

... As we traveled, the landscape became more rugged. Patterns of tall cones and columns began to appear, some with carved openings. These are the famed caves of the Cappadocia region.

We stopped for a morning cup of Turkish coffee and an opportunity to view the landscape. Later, we stopped for lunch at a Turkish restaurant that was situated in a cave carved out of the large columns that dotted the landscape. As we enjoyed our coffee and later lunch, Mehmet began ...
