... supreme and it's boarding as normal. For some reason Madonna just can't seem to get everyone on board and seated.

And I need to call my friend out and embarrass him some...he actually asked me why everyone at the Kuala Lumpur airport and on board the plane was Asian. Hmmm. Let me think about that one. Tough question. Could it be we are halfway around the world in Asia? Maybe? I'm just taking a wild guess here.

Air Asia delivered us to Bandar Seri ...
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei atlpilot36... Brunei was an interesting stop...thou 10 hours was proberly enough for this small country. The airline was ok with ok food and lots of drinks being serve through the flight. Flight was uneventful in terms of weather...good weather all the way...must of been the blessing the aircraft got before taking off! ---again an interesting airline!

Thats our small trip to brunei, now its off to New Zealand!
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei jonaden... the boat wasn't to Lawas at all. We spent $45 on the boat, then when we do finally get dropped at the bus station, we have to pay another $10. Turned into an expensive trip when you add on the $30 for the bus to KK as well!
The trip went pretty quickly as we were both dozing and falling asleep on each other.
Got to KK and got a taxi to take us to a hostel we had seen in Lonely Planet.
Turns out it was only about a block away, and that ...
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei hutchy-ellio... dome that sits just above the tree tops. It was worth the trip however, as our boatman spotted some probiscus monkeys in the mangrove trees which line both sides of the river and he turned the engine off and steered the boat underneath the trees so that we could sit and watch them. Probiscus monkeys are native only to the forests of Borneo and are very distinctive with pendulous noses and bulbous bellies. We had been hoping to spot some ...
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei butterfills... we got back in the boat for a journey upriver for a further 2 hours to Long Berar. As this is the dry season in Borneo, the waters were so shallow that we had to get out of the boat on numerous occasions and help to push it across the rocky riverbed which was incredibly painful with no shoes on. Long Berar is the start of the 8km trek to Melinau Camp, or Camp 5 as it is more commonly known. As soon as we began the trek, it started to rain torrentially ...
Limbang, Sarawak, Malaysia butterfills... of people that I had stayed with in Miri, and we had dinner at a night market that served a range of interesting local foods. We also met a hippy couple from England that plan to own a plot of land and live off it, partly because they were concerned that by 20th December 2012 the Myan calendar runs out, signalling a potential end to the world as we know it. Apart from this issue, they were very down to earth, nice people ...
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei eddiemetal... gold dome but other than that it looked like a multistorey car park. We asked if we could get off at the park to have a look (a trip recommended by our guide book). He told us that this was not possible and we could only see it from the river. So we took some photos and started to head back. But he didn't take us straight back. David asked where we were going and he replied "around" and then turned us back to the waterfront. When we stopped David got out the $3 and the man ...
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei angela_louise... the only person going thru security and there were 5 of them... maybe they were board. I ended up sitting next to this guy from the Uk who had been home to nz for the holidays and he gave me his window seat... which I used to lean and sleep on :-p... ok I thought that the TV's on the seat would be cool but they are just so slow to respond etc that I got annoyed with mine and turned it off within the first half hour. Arriving in Brunei at 10am I ...

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei france_rejean... that they proliferated in, My God would hear me just the same in a temple, mosque, church or synagogue. And if I was wrong, maybe Allah would be merciful to a nonbeliever praying to another god in his house. I WANT TO BELIEVE. Mulder...? The trip here made the stopover in Brunei worthwhile just on it's own merits. So if you are in the area and would like to experience a moment of utter peace (without the need for opium) you should come to visit the new mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan.
