Bangkok starts out with a bang

We spent our first night at the Legacy suites and were very pleased. It sits back away from the hustle and noise of Sukomvit St and were very pleased with the spacious room, nice buffet breakfast and the courtesy of their staff. Kudos to Choo, their concierge for his proficient guidance. If you are hoping for a special river view you'll need to find something taller but we were well satisfied.

Very good service, good rooms & pool & Internet

The service was exceptional and the facilities extremely good. The ONLY reason I do not give 5 stars is the "non smoking" room stunk on smoke.

    Nice appartments

    from

We stayed at legacys from march 11th to 13th. The personal was very friendly and helpful. The Rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equiped (flatscreen). The Pool in front of the house was even in march not ready so we will have a bath on our next stay. Only the noises at the buliding next to legacys were very awfull, because they started at 8 in the moring.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for choosing Legacy Suites for your stay in Bangkok and for your time posting your comments in Tripadvisor.com.

We apologize for the unavoidable delay opening of the pool and construction noise and thank you for your understanding.

We do look forward to your next visit soon.

    Warm regards,

Great hotel, friendly staff, will stay again

    from

We stayed at Legacy Suites most of February until March 3rd (yesterday).

The staff were very helpful and friendly and available 24 hours a day.

The hotel itself is brand new and very well designed. The room smelled of fresh wood - absolutely fantastic! The TV was a modern LCD, the furniture was all good quality.

The location is fairly good (Soi 29). A short walk to either Asok and Phrom Phong BTS stations.

Right now, there is construction (from 9 am to 7pm) - and it can get pretty noise in the day. If you are staying at Legacy in the next few days, make sure you get out and stay out for the day. We were hoping the pool would be ready, but it got delayed. But I won't complain because we were warned that it is still under construction.

When I return to Bangkok, I will definitely stay at Legacy again. I had absolutely zero problems, I highly recommend it.

Thank you for your feedback from your visit and stay with us. My staff and I are happy to have given you a positive experience with us here at Legacy Suites.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay opening of the pool and construction noise and thank you for your kind understanding.

Looking forward to having you with us once again.

    Warm regards,

    Simple but elegant

    from

A nice newly furnished suite hotel, we liked it very much. It is absolutely in the center - 3 minutes walk to the Skytrain station. On the hompage they wrote that the pool will be ready in January 2008, but they were still working on it in February.

The airconditioner was a bit noisy and the breakfast was not really excellent, but I suppose these are not the most important things. The rooom was clean and spacious. It was a really good choice for 3 days, for a normal/low price.

    Legacy Suites

    from

I Stayed at the Legacy in Jan08 - while they were still in the process of completeing the pool and Resturants. The stay was comfortable - just.

My room was a studio facing where the pool will be loctated and was very noisy from about 0700 until 2300 ! Room was a smoking room and was very smelly - no non smoking available at the time of checkin !

Air conditioning was uncontrolable - set at a standard temp of 19*c which is ok when you first walk in the room but after awhile it was freezing cold. I had maintence look at it but were unable to change the control.

Breakfast was served in the lobby - the same thing every morning - staff dont speak alot of english or understand alot.

I found the front desk staff very unhelpful in offerring ideas for thing to see and do around the area. I found a great day spa just two soi's away - Davina Spa - brilliant !

Overall - I would not stay this place again and I would not suggest it to anyone.

    Not Bad

    from

We stayed there from 11 - 15 Jan. The hotel is very new and the pool and restaurant are still under construction , so be prepared for some noise. Think they will only be completed some time end Fed or Mar.

Rooms were new and spacious, service was also good. As the restaurant is not ready, the breakfast was served at the lobby and its the smae breakfast everyday.

The walk from the hotel to BTS station is about 10 mins, and there is a nice massage place near to the hotel at the main road

Overall a nice and good stay and the front desk is very helpful adn eager to please.

    Clean and convenient

    from

A friend that I was meeting in Bangkok reserved my room for me, which is why I stayed at this hotel. The hotel has all suites, but they can vary. For instance, my friend's suite had a clothes washer, while mind did not. So check before you reserve your room.

The hotel is very new and so the place while clean also had the "smell" of a new place. The swimming pool had not yet opened at the time of my stay.

My suite was very comfortable, with double beds and a full kitchen. A nice flat screen TV and DVD player are available. The bathroom was big with a tub and a separate shower cubicle. The drainage in the shower was a bit slow, but still not too bad. Housekeeping was a bit annoying because I had to ask for soap/shampoo to be replenished on my second day. (Bangkok is hot and so you will probably take multiple showers each day!).

The location is very convenient in the Sukhumvit district, close to the trains, grocery/wine and convenience stores etc.

Overall, this can be a pretty nice place once it is fully up and running and once some of the kinks are worked out.

Today we started out slowly but decided to give Lumphini park a visit, particularly after Julie had recommended it. We wandered around the park and I was quite surprised at how big it was, especially in the middle of Bangkok!

The park has a lake in the middle with lots of pedalos on it, so we took one out for half an …

Another D day! Two more fillings, I hoped it would be the last! We are both sick of going to the dentist. As we leave the hospital we go and ask if they can supply us with more malarone and it turns out that you can't get it in Thailand, which I'm shocked at! The nurse we spoke to said they were still working on it.

We have been staying in a suite so we have a kitchenette, DVD player and sofa, which is brilliant and also means we can cook! For breakfast Mark made …

5.30am our earliest start yet, all to go and see the floating markets! We get picked up at 6.30am and join two Indian ladies in the mini van, who are very rude and moaning a lot that the tour is not just for them! Our Thai tour guide is quite firm and offers to drop them off at the sky train many times or stay on the tour with the …
