Fabulous hotel. Recently remodelled, very comfortable. Great staff. Pool was perfect for a 90 degree day. Tons of restaurants nearby. A stopover hotel, but I could only wish all hotels were like this one!

Spent the day at these two parks south of Yosemite. Giant sequoia trees are the top highlight but the views are also pretty amazing. We took a walk around the tall trees trail and then drove up to tunnel tree and Moro rock. We drove our car through the fallen tree and then walked up the 350 steps to the top ...

I'm not sure why she's telling us this. She also tells us that it is developing in to something of a retirement community. I ask whether this is since the introduction of Viagra. She'd never made that conne tion, but it amuses her now to think of it. ...

... took didn’t quite do it justice. Photos taken, we were back in the van to listen to anything but the country music Chris subjected us to yesterday, we asked if he had any proper American artists like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, or even Jay-Z, but on failing to find any of these we had Tracy Chapman’s greatest hits from the Port Elizabeth couple, Michelle and Rob, which of course lulled us nicely into naps as the van weaved its way around corners towards the next ...
