Fabulous hotel. Recently remodelled, very comfortable. Great staff. Pool was perfect for a 90 degree day. Tons of restaurants nearby. A stopover hotel, but I could only wish all hotels were like this one!

Jack and Elizabeth created this video about their time in SF. A little late in coming, but we hope you enjoy it.

We spent the day in Bakersfield, CA. Why you ask? It was a means to an end. We needed to work toward LV, and it was an opportunity to get caught up on laundry and school work. And, it was free with points.

... Bakersfield alone (Good thing we have maps and sat Nav!). On the way back I pass this great expanse of nodding donkey machines extracting oil from the ground. They went on for as far as the eye could see - no wonder petrol is so cheap here!

Very dark, hot and humid when I got to the hotel. Shower, meal and bed to get ready for another exciting day, which I think might be a bit more heat in Death ...

... didn't look the most friendliest of places. As we headed deeper and deeper in town, we didn't have a clue what is campsite was going to offer, but knew it was one of our only hopes at this time! We pulled into the site, and it was a home away from home! It felt like a small luxury resort, with new facilities everywhere, power hooks ups, wifi, TV ...

I’ve started to look into where Grandpa Frantz came from and have found that he was born in Olszyn, Prussia which is now Poland. I’ve found that it is a small town with a castle in the northern part of Poland.

As for his grandmother, she was born in Friedensfeld, South Russia. ...

One of the little guys sure likes the Pringles chips that I grab out of the back to feed him! Just after passing the donkeys Ike spotted a ...
