Fabulous hotel. Recently remodelled, very comfortable. Great staff. Pool was perfect for a 90 degree day. Tons of restaurants nearby. A stopover hotel, but I could only wish all hotels were like this one!

Off to get this train ready to roll.

Just before we came to Bakersfield we went through a place called Tejan Ranch where they were building a large outlet mall and a large distribution center. After looking it up it appears it is the largest continuous privately held land (270,000 acres or 422 square miles). They will ...

Check out the photo of all of the vehicles on I-15 from our vantage point at the first Rest Stop/Visitor's Center. Also, the first gas price I saw in California was $4.89. That noise you heard was my chin hitting the floor of the ...

It works as I sleep most of the way until it's time for the next meal. John does better on this flight than on the way over. I sleep again from Seattle to Los Angeles—my body feels like it belongs to someone else, I swear. Our luggage arrives with ...

... pass and photo ID. Hum, now I’m wondering how I got thru? Did they not check? What was that person doing anyway? I mean it isn’t brain surgery what these people are doing. And if I could get thru with someone else’s boarding passes how can we be sure that they won’t give the same amount of inattention to someone who has ill intent.

Just makes you wonder what we are paying for here.
