Today we stopped in Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center. This is a NASA test center where engines are test fired.

We saw where the Saturn 5 rockets, Shuttle and now the SLS engines are tested.

The Linear Aerospike Engine for the cancelled X-33 was also fired here.

It was worth the stop since it was on our way and a convenient stop. Doesn't really compare to Kennedy Space Center but it was interesting none the less.

Gail and I worked on getting our travel pads up to date uploading and syncing pics taking advantage of the fast wifi. Happy hour time rollered around ...

... br> Getting to Fort Massachusetts is not easy. We drove out of the forest, found our way through town, and wound up at the end of a dock overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Behold..... just before us is the "tourist" ferry boat scheduled to leave in just ten minutes. Of course, I am lackadaisical and taking my time getting my gear together, while Caryn girl is scurrying across the parking lot with credit card ...

On the way to Ireland

A travel blog entry by boardinglate on Sep 11, 2013

After gas, we headed to New Orleans armed with a subway veggie delight which was great! Arrived at the airport. They changed our flight numbers and the lady was very kind and helpful. Went through security with no problems and found Erin & Fred at D-3. Bought a popcorn for $3 and have since boarded. Plane has a lot of empty seats. 2hours 6 minutes to Chicago. So far, it's ...
