    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... the islands and crags come and go while continuing to read about Henry V's antics at Agincourt. The ferry landed, as ferries tend to do. Patras looks amazing. The geography is very different from Bari: Patras sits at the base of a large hill (mountain?) and sprawls part way up it. Bari almost seems like the coast is a little higher than immediately inland.     ... into the Mediterranean. We had our picnic at the end and after I drank from the Kardaki spring. Local legend has it that whomever drinks from the spring will forget their homeland and always return to corfu. Try as I might, i couldn't get the council estates of my youth from out of my memory.     ... then the ship rocked and he ended up outside the pool like a stranded fish flapping about!!! I decided this was probably time to end the swimming session and so Rachel headed off to kids club to make pizza and Liam decided to read his book.

    Tonight Rachel is at a pizza party and Liam is heading to teen club. Tomorrow we get to Santorini and are off to visit Oia Village where the blue domed churches ...
