Our shuttle to the port left at ten this morning. Gabby and I were sad to leave our nice hotel and Santorini as the shuttle dropped us off. We met the rest of our group at a café were we grabbed breakfast before getting on the ferry. The ferry ride was only fourth five minutes, but I managed to sneak a nap in before arriving in Ios. We were a little nervous coming to Ios as every local we talked to said that it was a huge party island and to be ...

The sea was calm again so we only did a little sailing and mostly used the motor to Mykonos, the most commercial and touristy of the Cyclades (with the exception of Santorini?).

Docked at the marina and caught the Seabus to port. We met a gay British couple at the bus stop (one was from Yorkshire). We were worried we might not get on the next Seabus because ...

We lazed today reading our Kindles and sunbathed, went for a swim just to cool down and a few noisy kids were told off. 8 at dinner again very good company and intelligent conversation. The show tonight was again very good entertainment. We now docked in Piraeus at 6pm, 12 hours early because of the
    Mykonos cancellation.

Cute city all white buildings with a row of windmills close to water. Sunny out today. Went to Elia beach, very pretty, clear turquoise water and lawn chairs and umbrellas, spent ...

    Byzantine Path, Piso Lavardi etc

Got up early today and walked down to the port in order to get the 7:30am bus to Lefkes where we started the Byzantine Path walk. Lefkes is a beautiful little town made up of winding alleys with the traditional white washed walls covered with flowers etc. The walk itself was fairly uneventful apart from some talk of snakes and also the ridiculously strong wind that was blowing. We ended up hitting the coast at a small seaside spot called Piso Lavardi where we had ...
