    ... I rode my bike out of Evanston into Rogers Park, North Chicago. Here I visited the other church affiliated with Reba, which has Anglo-Americans, Nepali, Cambodian, West-African and other people worshipping together. I really enjoyed the service, where (for example) people came up to the mic after the message to share their thoughts on it. Afterwards I was taken to a local diner where we had 1$ taco's with a bunch of people, which was delicious and fun :) Later ...

    ... things you can do with eggs than one would have thought possible. Mine was eggs Benedict with corn beef hash. Potatoes all chopped up and a big pile of fresh fruit. The great glory of American Cuisine is the breakfast. Yolks stands in the illustrious company of La Vacherie, New Orleans and the French Press in Lafayette as a provider of sublime starts to the day.     ... a sense of space and being able to think and breathe. Lots of food options at all prices ! Friday we went out and stayed out walking all the way from downtown up through Michigan avenue, past the wrigley building where we booked and evening cruise. Onwards past 2 beaches with a fair few people sunning themselves. The walk along the water front brought a cooling breeze to 80degrees. The water front walk is a long one used by walkers, joggers, bikers, roller bladers - with swimmers ...

    Chicago isn't particularly known for it's wildlife, perhaps that's why they have a humongous Aquarium and a rather large Zoo.
    Our first day in Chicago, braving the cold we took a trip out to Lincoln Park Zoo, and open air zoo in the huge Lincoln Park, on the shore of Lake Michigan. The whole concept of a free Zoo in the middle of your local park seemed a bit alien but pretty exciting too us,
