Day 5 Hanging out in Patong

A travel blog entry by laura.le on Mar 26, 2015

We decided to have a lazy day today after sevens days of traveling and sightseeing in Bangkok. The place we are staying at more like a luxury hostel then a hotel, and we do not have any food service here. The rooms is lovey and we upgraded at check in for a ocean front room. It has a little balcony to sit on and we are on the top floor. Down side to the room we picked, there are no elevators. So we climb a steep set of tiled stairs from the ...

... under full sail with engines off and moving at that speed. Even with the reefs we were making 7.5 knots which is pretty respectable under sail. The rest of the way we practiced trimming the sails until the winds died off. The night was spent at Ko Rok Nai (national park). land. ...

A travel blog entry by elliottjulia on May 29, 2014

So whilst Viv was going away on boys weekend to Manila (the Philippines) with his Aussie mates Rohan and Andy, I've decided to try a week in Muay Thai camp in Phuket. After Kirill's and Hayley's suggestions, I thought it might be an interesting thing to try especially since I wanted to do Kung Fu training in China and I was doing lots of healthy sporty activities recently. Also I was familiar with Phuket from my last trip and quite enjoyed Thai food. A day before I was off, the ...

... were ladyboys although even I struggled to tell a few! The plastic surgery over here is second to none! Upon arrival we took some photos of the dancers who were waiting outside also giving us the opportunity to have our photos taken with them for 100 baht (2). We were given our seats - VIP and were only a few rows back from the stage. We ordered a cocktail each and sat back to enjoy the show...it was brilliant! So amusing and just pure entertainment, especially when ...
