I spent the first night with Laura leaving Lynme and Sandra to cope on their own. This was not a good move. Air con set they climbed into bed armed with a sheet each then spent the rest shivering. To say the least Lynme is now an expert with all variations of air con remote comtrols.

... while of the sound of any approaching train.

At several points, we saw people working on the tracks, mostly fixing the slipped out plates. It's a lot of hard work they put in, to ensure the safety of our trains on these tracks.

Initially it was fun walking along the railway tracks, taking in the forest and several smaller falls around. But after a while, it got ...

    Blackpool in India

... place we'd been so far, despite it supposedly being one of the more chilled places in Goa according to the Lonely Planet. After having a quick look at the beach (which had a big swell due to a storm which had come in from Sri Lanka) we looked at some very basic beach hut accommodation (not for us as Amy has been mauled by mossies and non of the rooms were sealed, plus they were all around Rs 500) we checked into our place, a slightly smelly but basic hotel room ...
