    ... of curry and alcohol, mixed with erratic drivers which are almost impossible to avoid! Although the memory of watching Dolphins jumping around in the ocean, to the sun setting at Agonda was still fresh in our minds, made the journey more bearable.

    Deciding 3 weeks was enough in Goa, we booked our onward train journey to Hampi for the day after my family flew back to England.

    ... they were thrown back into the water. Ami and I both felt pretty sea sick after a few hours so were glad to head back to dry land. We spent a day at Agonda beach a few miles from Palolem.     Arriving early as always we looked at the notice board, found the train details and found a spot on the platform and waited.     ... on the beach has to be taken down for the monsoon season and put back up again in October, every year. This is so the beach can be used in the summer by locally breeding turtles. Nice.     While in south Goa I had the pleasure of having an old Indian man wipe his hands and mouth over my clean washing - I watched him from behind in horror and didn't quite know what to do!!!

    Time in North Goa was spent in much the same way as the south - eating and swimming! We spent one day at Anjuna Markets which sells amazing clothing. jewellery, leather bags etc ...
