      ... north to Inverness. We did a ton of walking today so it'll be nice to do a little sight seeing from the bus on the way. Funny story of the day, Kelly and I were heading back for lunch (running a bit tight for time) and decided to take a shortcut involving stairs. Needless to say, we were unaware of how many flights there were. Halfway up our glutes were burning and by the time we reached the final step our legs were on fire!       ... time in Iveagh Gardens, another beautifully landscaped park that is a bit of a hidden treasure, with most people heading to St Stephen's Green. Iveagh Gardens are quiet, with a waterfall and fountains and rambling overgrown paths and old statues littering the landscape. It was one of the few days it did not rain, so it was a great way to spend an afternoon, in the sun reading. In yet another park, I came across the Oscar Wilde memorial.       ... in Glasgow with some ex colleagues for lunch, drinks, catch ups and grumbles about the state of Scottish education! We came to the conclusion that whatever the teachers did with us worked fine so we should go back to the curriculum of the mid 80s - mid 90s! I'm really looking forward to seeing the difference in teaching methods and the curriculum when I get to Canada.....And promptly going to Education Scotland ...
