Belgian Battlefields
... dark by now (5.30pm) - Cheryl more than annoyed that I pulled over and went for a quick walk in the dark through the road end of the cemetery. Different again but just as huge as other cemeteries we had visited. A few quick photos and back into the car for the last leg back to car park. A glass of wine, rest (Cheryl grabbed 40 winks) and a refreshing shower before heading out for our last chance to attend Men in Gate Service. ... package to those who stayed at least two days this winter. The package included reduced entries to some museums, a free drink at the local Flanders Fields Museum and 25€ off an evening meal. Back at the hotel we had time to refresh in our room and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner of carrot soup followed by rack of lamb. Day One :D
... say I don't know the words at all). So now, as the Olympic basketball begins to get tense, I am still sitting on the bed and I am still being instructed by hereditary sloth, in a very Shakespearean fashion. All in all, the first day of our holiday has been better than expected, and much less boring. I'll be spending the remainder of the evening reading 'The Language of Flowers' by Vanessa Diffenbaugh - something I have been looking forward to for aaaages. Night night everybody :) ...
First visitors aboard
... in the store before heading back to the boat. A trolley was loaded with our goodies and then we waved the others off to see if they could get on an earlier ferry than the 8pm one they had booked.

On the Road Again!!
... and chases the ten Euros down the toll road retrieving it to our applause thus saving Colin 10 Euros....I love the French!!!!!
