... pickpockets. Lots of pickpockets. When in line to get up to the top floor, a man yelled out that he'd dropped his keys, a common scam here, and many leant down to help, only to be pick pocketed by the mans partner. Their loss for their nativity, I suppose. The views were breathtaking, and reminds you just how high off the ground you are... It's astounding to think that this was built ...

Luckily enough it was behind the first corner we tried.
After settling and leaving for food we returned to a sauna of a room. Apparently our radiator (not attached to the wall) was left on full. So we are now settling in for an overly hot nights sleep, training for Asia perhaps?
At least we know our way back to CDG for tomorrows flight, thats our silver ...
... Amiens simply has basic French food. Dinner was absolutely delicious! We then had to start to make our way back to the train station. But not before being able to see some of Paris at night. Which I think Paris at night would be even better than Paris during the day.
I can't wait to go back to Paris. There are still so many museums and things to see!
This coming week, I am on my Fall Reading week. I am heading to the South of France and Spain!! Very excited!
As for me I’m not on my way to Burundi. I’m now in Paris, but still have a long trip before me. I left Dallas yesterday at 1:00 pm on a flight to Boston, where I had only a few minutes before boarding the overnight flight to Paris. Here I have a 3 hour layover before an even longer flight to Nairobi, which I will leave just before midnight local time for a flight to Bujumbura via Kigali. Well, actually some of the things we were planning to do, we did not, but we loved the Pompidou. The Roy Lichtenstein exhibit was just fantastic. We cancelled lunch at the Pirouette and ate instead on top of the Pompidou at a restaurant called George where we sat outside overlooking the entire city of Paris, and had an omelet and a club ...
