I was surprised to see just how beautiful Nice is though. I hadn’t heard many good things before I came, but it is a really nice city. The bus dropped me off at the center called Albert 1er, and I had a nice ten minute walk up the main shopping street to find Hostel Baccarat. There was an Aston Martin, but no 007. Inside the roulette and black jack were fun to watch but the minimum bets a little daunting. We returned to our hotel driving on part of the Grand Prix track tired after the long ...

Mary's Impressions:
Monte Carlo is most famous for its grand casino where the wealthy come to gamble. It was also the home of Princess Grace (former American actress Grace Kelly). It is also the location for the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix – a huge draw for racing car enthusiasts and considered the most important and prestigious car races in the world. My desire for going to Monte Carlo was to mainly see the casino and get a sense of the place. Jeff and I took ...
