... and took the time for a walk around while there. Arriving at Mont Saint Michel is interesting. For some reason, I thought there was a village on the shore opposite the island. There isn't what is there is a giant car park, some hotels, an information centre and shuttle buses to take people to the island which is about 3kms away. We can see it from the car park and it is an incredible sight. Google some images to get the idea: it's a huge ...

I'm writing this from Mont St Michel on Saturday. Our final riding day was yesterday and the weather gods really turned it on; it was a lovely day. Mont ...

... experience of dining this way was fun, none the less.We are now planning our last few days in France around seeing just a few places,.. even if it means covering a number of kilometres over the next few days to position ourselves for those places of interest. Sunday morning we headed north to the Loire River and a little place called Montsoreau. That turned out to be not a good decision. They had a 'Fete de Velo' (a bicycle fair) happening and many roads around,.. and ...

... when it is surrounded by water, as we are sure it would make for some spectacular photos.

On our way back to the gite we stopped off at Nathan’s favourite shop, Decathlon, a large sports warehouse that sells anything to do with sport from running and cycling to skiing and rock climbing. Running gear is much cheaper here then compared to Australia so he stocked up on some new kit! How many running shirts does a ...
