... gesture. We can't change the world but we can change the way these children start off in life and who knows where that will lead....
It is less than 4 weeks now until I leave. There is much to do. I am trying to prepare myself for "teaching" 20 - 25 children. A bit of a challenge that. Much as I have known that I have always wanted to do something like this, now that it ...
... wine bottle and then we thought they were off on the trail, but no they got in the car and drove on!
At the end of the gorge we joined the road towards Cannes, which was route Napoleon, orginially created by him as a pass through the mountains...very windy. Our destination for the evening was Grasse where we found a good park overlooking the city lights and our first view of the Med.
... then finally the hostel. yayyyy.
we ended up meeting 2 australian girls, and one girl, meng basically became our travel buddy for the trip. we spent our 2 days in tours mostly chilling at cafes drinking amazing cafe cremes, and looking at the ridiculously cute timbered houses of place plumerau. we also read trashy girl magazines in french and meng cooked us an amazing dinner. all in all tours was pretty fab.
So we booked a ...

But first, a little commentary on our observations. As I mentioned from Germany, the European people love station wagons. We have all seen them at times in the states but they are everywhere in Europe. We saw the German versions right off, but through the rest of the countries we visited it is also clear that the wagon is the car of choice. All sizes, all makes. In Italy, Fiat, Lancia, and ...
Cannes is not as glamrous as we thought it would be, it still has all the fancy smancy stores along the beach, but there were definitely no red carpets rolled out when we were there. We did a day trip to St-Tropez, its was the end of a hge sailing competitiona and tons of ...

... in the campsite, knowing my stuff was secure, people would be friendly and that I didn't have to rush around and see cathedrals and museums all day: Really enjoyed a night where the girls put on a Princess party, where we all wore our prettiest dresses, tiaras and ate cupcakes and brownies. Also had a nice time at Ben and Anya's uncles house, where we played gladiators in the infinity pool and had about 5 ...
Fréjus, Provence, France jojomo... with Greg's very loud and hearty rendition of the English Anthem. We left quietly after the game! The good weather continued, so we spent a lot of time in the water, soaking up the sunshine on the beaches and strolling through the French markets sampling local food. Can't complain about the French Riviera, just wish they'd do something about all the dog ****!
Nice, Monte Carlo, Antibes,, France fosters4... We decided to hang around in Cannes for a few hours, hoping that we may catch a glimpse of somebody famous. We went back to the Palais des Festivals later in the evening and we managed to see a few stars: Robert Duvall, Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes whose film Walk the Line was being shown that night. As well as Naomi Campbell who managed to keep a smile on her face all the way up the red carpet. There were also a few big name French stars ...
Antibes, France glenn_christie... had this game, only to find out it had joined the 21st century and become computerized. No more plastic horses. They were sent to the plastic dog food factory only 1 week before we arrived. Sniff. So we went to another casino and another.. all the plastic horses had suffered the same fate. So we ended up playing the computerized versions and I won E14... I'm such a big spender. Then I went outside to take some night photos of Monaco before hopping on the bus and heading back to camp.
