Corsica has been fought over between the French and Italians for many years and the remains of an old fort guard the entrance to Bonifacio's narrow harbour. ... The only time it's good not to speak French. We chose to stay in the southern part of Corsica as that is where the beaches and mountains are supposed to be the most spectacular. We are really happy with our choice of Santa Giulia which is a few kms south of Porto Vecchio. It really is as stunning as the travel sites show; white sand beaches, clear warm aqua waters with mountains in the background. Almost Caribbean like! But less green & ...

Sorry should have explained the pom in yesterdays blog. We kept on running into this british couple. Beach, restaurant in the street at Cagliari and lastly at the nuraghe site. By this time we were on hugging status.
There r a lot of germans tourist. I (ann) keep getting mistaken for a german - bloody insult - sorry Mary.
