... to enjoy the scenery of much small villages, all with impressive churches, stopping where we wanted, when we wanted. Another tasty baguette for lunch and it was time to take to the motorway to make up some distance before evening. I felt happy to ride at 80mph here but no more, since my bike was basically being held together by duct tape. We made good time and the scenery was actually pretty nice here too as we passed several sunflower ...

The surf was reported to be the biggest it's been all summer, so it was inevitable that we were heading back to catch any last surfs. Thankfully the website report was correct and Dean surfed at least 3 times a day. He was one very happy man! One of the final days there was the biggest and most clean looking surf we have seen in France, not hard to bet considering it was the worst summer for surf. No swim for me in that zoo thanks, funny two days later the beach is announced closed due to bacteria - mmmm. So our short ride ended up being over 30km's that was up and down some hills, an early night shattered but a fantastic day full of fun and laughter.

After Madrid I headed to South France to do some surfing and relaxing. I stayed with a friend of a friend, Georg, and hanging out with him was great. Georg and I have a similar sense of humor (haha rare find for me) and I was pretty lucky because Georg is a surf instructor and lives a five minute walk from the beach.

I wish I could write a bunch for this entry but all what I really did for the week was surf and cook food every day. It was pretty great and I owe Georg big time.
