... a bit of sleep. The crossing wasn't too bad considering the weather and I didn't feel as sick as I thought I might. I need to master walking around on the ferry tho as I'm sure people thought I was drunk - I just couldn't get my balance properly.

Once off the ferry at Roscoff we started the 3 hour journey down to Vannes. Jim did really well with the driving, the weather wasn't great and we kept having mini rainstorms. We arrived about 6pm to the campsite we ...

Treacle came off her steroids last Wednesday and remained well for several days, but unfortunately yesterday she was sick and today she has diarrhoea again, isn't eating and is very quiet. Lets hope this is just a bug she has picked up and not the return of the colitis.

We're off on the bikes by 9am, riding and sightseeing until sometime between five and six pm, dinner at ...

... for lunch at a river port, very close to the sea, for gallettes (savoury crepes) which are wonderful. Janice books a massage for me at the hotel we're heading too so I have something to look forward to when we get there. The weather continues to be brilliant and the riding is good. About 5kms from the hotel we stop at another river port heading to the sea, Trinity sur Mer, for coffee and ice cream - the best salted caramel icecream I've had! I know, ...

... because we were mostly off the road on bike paths or on very quiet roads. Backside, neck, shoulders and wrists complaining loudly by now. I choose to ignore them and admire the scenery. They persist. Fortunately. The last 4kms of the ride involved iced water and a ride along a cycle path that wound its way beside the estuary to the hotel. Great scenery and the iced water was wonderful. 66kms covered today!!! I know some people who don't ...
