... far reaches of the property which left us red in the face and exhausted but with 5 minutes to spare we made it in time. The tour was fabulous we learnt so much and saw so much and we were, for the most part, away from the tremendous crowds. After the tour we went through the Hall of Mirrors - wow!!!! and then we made our way slowly back to the apartment willing our legs to move forward... totally exhausted.

Today was a wander around Paris day so we were not going to line up or go into anything as we have some of that coming up over the next few days. Suggestions for future Paris travellers:

Hotel Marignan - great location, free wifi, bfast included and very friendly staff!
Transportation - If you want to see the sights, get the batobus, it takes you almost to every major sight you' want to see and we paid 12 euros for 2 days... totally worth it!

Despite a wet day in Paris we all managed to keep busy. We got a cab to the Centre Pompidou which is the museum of modern art and the second most visited after the Louvre. Queued in the rain for a short while to get in and then a longer cue to buy our ticket.
