So we woke up in Brighton, drove to Guildford after the stop in Lewes, caught the train to London and took the Eurostar back to Paris where we used the Metro Underground to get to our lovely ATC hosts in their apartment in the 5th Arrondissement where we will be for ten glorious days experiencing as much of Paris as we can fit in, or our weary feet will allow!

over-rated. We made our way across the square in front of Notre Dame (where
there was a bread exhibition/fete), along the river side, through lovely
gardens. This gave us an exceptional view of the flying buttresses, gargoyles
and stone work of the cathedral. Brought to life the architecture of ‘Pillars

After having fulfilled my life-long dream of seeing the Eiffel Tower, we hopped back on the metro and headed towards the Louvre. Also much, much bigger than I ever imagined. We had a few drinks and some food then all headed up it the station at about 7.30. There was quite a big crowed of us as friends of Friends joined and other kiwis tagged along. ... Notre Dame. From there we wandered back around ND to Saint Chapelle another cathedral, with the most amazing walls of stained glass. Really incredible design and construction. In keeping with the new us we took the underground one station to Musee d'Orsay. The old railway station (Erin, think 'Hugo') is an another outstanding gallery of Impressionist painting.
